Sketch of 'Robot Uprising' design.

Synopsis: Sculpturally, this piece uses negative space as a way of implicitly telling a story about the robot... which is that it has woken up from a long slumber beneath the desert.

Interactively: people can walk inside the robots chest and interact with a 5x3 ft touchscreen. This allows users to leave a story, note, or a poem for the robot... as well as plug in the SD card from their camera which will load all pictures taken that day at Burning Man into the robot. People can then explore all of the content that others have left throughout the day. At a higher level, what's really happening is people are programming the robot with "experience"... as it has just awoken and has no idea what's going on.

Up to 4 people can climb up the robots back and into the head through a hatch. There people will find a microphone which externally amplifies the persons voice and makes it sound like a robot at the same time. At night, the eyes will have user controllable spotlights directed at passers by for additional nighttime fun. :)
